Drill It Underground is an Australian owned Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) company, specialising in telecommunications, sewer, power, water and gas with a reputation for high quality, cleanliness, safety, and reliable delivery within set deadlines.

What we do

Drill It Underground has capabilities to carry out a range of civil works required including installation of pits, trenching, locating, excavation, hydro vac for safe location of services etc.

We have a Ditch Witch JT3020AT Drill rig along with 8000 litre water storage available, to accompany a 11,000 litre hydro vac unit, meaning we can spend more time working and less time refilling with water and disposing of mud.

AS/NZS 4801- 2001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
ISO25001 : 2018 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
NSW WHS Act 2011 and WHS Regulations 2017; and
Victorian WHS Act 2004, WHS Regulations 2017.

We follow an environmental, work health & safety and quality management system to ensure we are given best chance to carry out the required work in a safe manner.

How We Do it

1. Pilot shot

Starting at the entry point a drill head, suitable for the ground conditions, is drilled along a predetermined route with depth and alignment monitored continuously.

2. Reaming Process

The pilot shot is enlarged in suitable steps by back reaming the hole with reamers designed for the ground conditions to a size that accommodates the pipe to be installed.
